Pocket BCJ is a free application that highlights the work of the award-winning architecture from Bohlin Cywinski Jackson. The featured projects celebrate a diversity of range and scope in the firm’s projects from a series of wood pavilions on the Finger Lakes of New York to the powerful forms of glass and copper in a private gallery in Hawaii, on to the rigorous technical requirements of the Nanotechnology Research Center at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the iconic Apple Store Fifth Avenue in New York City.

Each project is documented with conceptual sketches, exquisite photography and project descriptions through an automated slideshow or scrolling image arrays. Periodic updates will include more projects and features, including a version for the iPad.

The practice’s work is alive to the sensibilities of individuals, to the character of institutions and to the rich possibilities of materials and the means of construction. Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has received nine AIA National Honor Awards and more than 450 regional, national and international awards for design. The firm received the Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects and the practice’s founder, Peter Bohlin was awarded the 2010 Gold Medal, the highest honor an individual architect can receive. The firm’s work is published regularly in professional journals and books worldwide.
